2020年1月3日，海南省海口市美兰区的海南省机电工程学校，职业初中班学生在老师的指导下学习遥控无人机。2019年9月，海南省在全国率先试点在部分中等职业学校设立职业初中班，让建档立卡家庭、农村低保家庭和农村特困救助供养学生中学业困难、反复辍学的九年级学生完成义务教育，并接受部分职业技能培训。

2020年1月16日，云南省曲靖市会泽县东陆高级中学大礼堂，北京大学考古文博学院学生李青为学弟学妹们做宣讲。会泽是全国深度贫困县，当地把教育作为阻断贫困代际传递的有力抓手。2010年以来，全县有128名学生被北大、清华录取；10000余名学生被全国重点大学录取；30000余名学生被本科院校录取。
